Run a room reservation report

To run a room reservation report on insights follow the steps below and watch this video.

  1. Click the Insights tab.

  2. On the left navigation click Build a Report.

  3. A room reservation report will be presented by default.

  4. Input the relevant information on the report.

    • Select date range:

      • This is where you select if you want the report to run based on reservation date, check-in date or check-out date.

    • Select date range:

      • This is where you select what period you want the report to run for, you can choose month to date, last month, year to date, year to last full month, last year, last week (Monday-Sunday) or select date range where you enter specific dates for the report to run.

    • Add comparisons:

      • This is where you can compare the report to the same period previous month, same period previous year or none.

    • Select report criteria:

      • This is where you select what information you want the report to pull.

  5. The following are the list of report criteria you can report on:

    • Accommodation type:

      • Allows users to compare performance across higher-level categories such as rooms or suites.

      • If this report return default property (room) this is because there has not been an accommodation type set up on a per room basis in the advance tab of a room.

      • Go to the advance tab in your rooms to update the accommodation type.

    ⚠️Important: Any update to the accommodation type in the advance tab in a room, this will result in wording updates on the booking engine.

    • Account code any.

    • Account code property.

    • Booking channel:

      • Website and other third party widgets.

    • Booking source:

      • Booking engine or mobile booking engine.

    • Cancellations.

    • Continent.

    • Country booker address.

    • Country IP address.

    • Day of week booking.

    • Day of week check-In.

    • Deposit type:

      • None or full amount.

    • Device type:

      • Desktop or tablet or mobile.

    • Dynamic room substitution.

    • Ezine signup.

    • How did you hear.

    • LOS (length of stay).

    • Lead time.

    • Meta sub-channel.

    • Modified booking.

    • Month booking.

    • Month check-in.

    • Number of adults.

    • Purpose of stay.

    • Quarter booking.

    • Quarter check-in.

    • Rate.

    • Rate type.

    • Revenue per room night.

    • Room.

    • Secured booking.

    • Total room value.

    • Visit interval.

  6. Tick the box to include charts and comparisons to the report.

  7. Select values:

    • You can select or deselect the options on which the report runs.

  8. Click Run Report.

    • Large green button on the right .

  9. The information will populate under the report.

  10. To export the report in HTML, CSV or PDF click the relevant option

    .


Other reports on insights

You can run various reports on insights. Below will highlight the reports and where to locate them.

  1. Click the Insights tab.

  2. On the left navigation click Build a Report.

  3. On the right you will see a list of various report widgets.

  4. Click on the report and this will populate in the center of the screen.

  5. To remove a report from the middle screen press the X to cancel the report.

  6. Click Run Report.

    • Large green button on the right .


Reports available in insights

Listed below are all the reports available in insights.

  • Room reservations:

    • Where you can analyze bookings made, this widget will open by default.

  • Key trends report:

    • Allows you to analyze the performance of your booking engine online channel(s).

  • Commentary:

    • Where you can add your own information or comments to the report.

  • Upsells:

    • You can see what upsells have been sold.

  • Vouchers:

    • You can see your voucher sales and categorize them based on different criteria.

  • Google ads:

    • This will give you data on your Google ads.

  • Google analytics 4:

    • This will give you stats on sessions and conversions.

  • Wihp MetalO:

    • This will show you data on your Metasearch results.

  • Facebook ads:

    • Data from you Facebook ad performance.

  • Microsoft:

    • Also know as Bing will give you results on the performance.

  • Digital summary:

    • This report will give you combined results from your Google ads, Wihp MetalO and other relevant digital data.

  • Trybe bookings:

    • This is an upsell integration and may not be relevant to your property.
