Remove a room from the booking engine

To delete a room from the Booking Engine you will need to follow the steps below:

1. Go to the SHR-Group Booking Engine.
2. Under Manage Rooms click List Rooms.

3. In the Room List screen, tick the box beside the room that you want to remove, and click "Delete Selected". This will remove the room completely.




⚠️Important: Removing a room will have an impact on different reports within the Booking Engine.


Room Reservation Report

If you remove a room and run a Room Reservation Report, the room code for the deleted room will still show on the report on past reservations.

Insights

If you run an Insights report and specify Room as a category like below.

​The report will return the historical information you requested for the room that was removed.

Daily Report

On your daily report the only change is the room that was removed is no longer shown in the Room Availability section, everything else stays the same.



Weekly Report

  • On the weekly report the only change is the room that was removed is no longer shown in the Room Availability section, everything else stays the same.



Monthly Report

  • There is no changes on the monthly report when a room is removed.



Wait List

  • If a guest has sent a Booking Request form and the room they entered on the request is the room that has been removed, when you login to the SHR Booking Engine to dismiss or process the request, the room will be removed from the request showing just a dash (-)




Pre/Post Stay Emails

  • If it is configured for the guest to receive Pre/Post Stay emails and they have booked the room that has been removed it will still appear on all correspondences to the guest.
