Image Selector explained
The Image Selector is a feature within the Booking Engine that allows you to upload, sort, and assign images to specific rooms or rate types as an example. This ensures the booking experience is visually aligned with your property branding. You will find an Image tab across multiple features of the booking engine.
Search and assign images
You will generally always find the Image tab within the editor of a feature.
From within an Image tab the Booking Engine allows users to search images in Image Selector Window. Each user can search images in two ways, by Search phrase or by Gallery Name.
Search Phrase
This is found under room images and displayed as a free text box that says search images... with a magnifying glass symbol.
The first results appear when a user writes a minimum of 3 characters into the Search image input field. The system searches all user accessible images on the MediaCenter for Image Title, Image Keywords, and Alt Text.
If the search finds more than 50 matching images, a prompt on the end of the image list will suggest adding more specific wording to narrow down search results.
Gallery Name
This is a dropdown found beside the search phrase field. A user can select a Gallery Title from the dropdown menu and see images only for that specific gallery.
Selecting Images
A user can assign an image to the relevant feature by moving that image, or images, to the selected images area in two ways:
Drag and drop: Hover the mouse on the available image list and drag one image by holding the left mouse button. Move the mouse with an image across to the Images Selected area and release the mouse button. In the same way, the user can change the order of selected images when there are multiple images at the Images Selected area. Click save changes to apply.
Tickbox Selector: Click on the open square beside the image to apply a visible tickbox to that image. Then click add selected. You can add multiple images at the same time but note that reverting back to search and changing the gallery both clears the selection. Always click save changes to apply.
Removing Images
To remove an image from the Selected Images window for any feature please click on the X button alongside the image. You must then click save changes.
⚠️Warning: If you remove the image from the MediaCenter itself then deleting that image fully removes it from all rooms, rate types or features where it was previously assigned.
