Timed announcements on your booking engine

⚠️Important:

If you want to add the option to have a Timed Announcement in your SHR BE you will need to contact [email protected] to get the option enabled for you.

Timed Announcements allow you to display custom messages on the SHR Booking Engine for specific date ranges. For example, if your pool and spa will be closed for renovations in September, you can set up a message that only appears to guests searching for stays during that month.

This ensures that only the relevant guests see the message, helping you manage expectations and improve the guest experience—without cluttering the booking journey for others.


Once the option is enabled on your site you can set up a Timed Announcement by following the steps below:

  1. Go into SHR BE admin.

  2. On the left side navigation panel select site configuration, click timed announcements.

  3. Click on the create announcement button.

  4. Fill in the following details:

    • Description of message.

    • Select what pages you wish to display it on.

    • Select the dates you want it to display.

    • Enter the message text you want to have shown on the booking engine.

    • Save changes.
