Create a voucher

If you have the voucher module enabled then you will need to create a voucher. Outlined below is how to create a voucher.

This helpful video is an overview of how to create a voucher.


Voucher editor general tab

Follow the steps below to set up the general tab.

  1. Click the Vouchers tab.

  2. Click List Vouchers.

  3. Click + Create Voucher.

  4. If editing an existing voucher, click edit on an existing voucher.

  5. Enter the voucher code.

    • This is a unique code that will identify your voucher.

  6. Choose the Status of the voucher.

    • Select the voucher to active, suspended or removed.

  7. Select a voucher category.

    • This allows you to choose the category that best suits the voucher.

  8. Order Index is no longer applicable.

    • On the voucher list screen drag and drop the vouchers into the position required.

  9. Redeem online is not available at present.

  10. Enter a voucher title.

  11. Enter a voucher description.

    • This should describe the voucher and what it includes.

  12. The terms and conditions field is optional.

    • These are specific terms and conditions associated with this voucher.

    • The general terms and conditions can be entered via edit site profile.

      1. Click the Advance tab.

      2. Scroll down to under the header customer information.

      3. In the text box provided enter the general terms and conditions.

      4. Click save changes.

  13. You can add up to three incentive messages on each voucher.

    1. To add an incentive message follow the steps below:

      1. Enter an incentive up to 32 characters.

      2. Click + add row to add another incentive.

      3. Enter a number in the order text box if you would like to order the incentives.

      4. Click the trash icon to delete the incentive.

  14. Click save changes.


Voucher editor advanced tab

Follow the steps below to set up the advanced tab.

  1. Click the Vouchers tab.

  2. Click List Vouchers.

  3. Click edit on the voucher you would like to edit.

  4. Click the Advanced tab.

  5. The voucher code is auto populated as you entered this in the general tab.

  6. There are three voucher value type options:

    • Fixed monetary value allows you to have a set price, you will need to add your value, while you can also include a strike value, which is a value that you would like to have a strikethrough on, which must be greater than the voucher value.

    • Flexible monetary value has a minimum value and a maximum value.

      • The minimum is the minimum value you are allowing the customer to purchase the voucher and the maximum value is the maximum value a customer can purchase a voucher.

      • Value step is the value the voucher will increase by.

      • In this voucher value step example the voucher minimum price is €50 the value step is also €50 so the next value a customer can purchase a voucher is €100, then €150 and until the maximum price is reached of €250.00.

      • A discount can be applied if you would like to offer a discount on a voucher price you can add this in the discount field.

      • Discount formats can be specified as a fixed monetary amount or a percentage, both with optional up to two decimal places.

    • Per person pricing allows for individual vouchers to be priced based on the number of people selected.

      • Enter the price per person in the field marked as value.

      • You will need to enter the minimum number of people and the maximum number of people.

  7. If applicable add the voucher to the Savvy integration from the dropdown menu.

  8. If you have created a voucher group select the applicable group this voucher is pert of.

  9. Under the header delivery options select default delivery option which can be set up in edit site profile under the advanced tab.

    1. If you decide to overwrite the default delivery option for this specific voucher, select custom delivery options from the drop down menu.

    2. Enable the option you require and add a cost if relevant.

  10. Click save changes.

Voucher editor restrictions tab

Follow the steps below to set up the restrictions tab.

  1. Click the Vouchers tab.

  2. Click List Vouchers.

  3. Click edit on the voucher you would like to edit.

  4. Click the Restriction tab.

  5. The voucher code is auto populated as you entered this in the general tab.

  6. Under the header customisation you have the following options that you can enable by ticking the box provided:

    • Presented to:

      • The customer can input the recipients name.

    • Presented from:

      • The customer can input their own name.

    • Dedication to allow user to enter dedication text:

      • A text box for the customer to write free text.

    • Hide monetary value on voucher:

      • The cost of the voucher will not display.

    • Hide expiry date on voucher:

      • The expiry date of the voucher will not display.

  7. Under the header sell restrictions you have the following options:.

    • Max per sale refers to the number of vouchers one person can purchase at one time.

    • Total quantity allows you to restrict the total number of vouchers available to be purchased. If you do not have a limit on the number of vouchers to be sold leave this field blank.

    • Low inventory warning allows you to be notified once the specified number of vouchers has been sold.

    • Enter the email address of the person who should receive the warning.

  8. Sale dates allow you to optionally indicate whether you want to limit this voucher to appear during the specified date range.

    1. Tick the box Restrict Sale to Date Range.

    2. Enter the start sell date.

    3. Enter the end sell date.

  9. Access restrictions:


Voucher editor customize tab

Follow the steps below to set up the customize tab.

  1. Click the Vouchers tab.

  2. Click List Vouchers.

  3. Click edit on the voucher you would like to edit.

  4. Click the Restriction tab.

  5. The voucher code is auto populated as you entered this in the general tab.

  6. From the drop down menu choose a voucher profile from the dropdown to customise the appearance of your voucher.

  7. If you select the default profile, it will apply the profile set in the edit site profile under the customisation tab.

  8. Click Save Changes.

⚠️Important: Banners must be 1120x140 pixels in size. If you want a new banner added email [email protected]


Voucher editor images tab

  1. Click the Vouchers tab.

  2. Click List Vouchers.

  3. Click edit on the voucher you would like to edit.

  4. Click the Images tab.

  5. The voucher code is auto populated as you entered this in the general tab.

  6. Select an image for the voucher.

  7. Search for images in the search bar.

  8. Click upload an image to add a new image.

  9. Select the image by ticking the box beside the image and click add selected.

  10. Click save changes.


Preview voucher

You can preview the sample PDF by clicking on preview in the list vouchers screen. Follow the steps below to learn how to preview a voucher.

  1. Click the Vouchers tab.

  2. Click List Vouchers.

  3. Click preview on the voucher you would like to view.


Reorder voucher

Follow the steps below to reorder vouchers.

  1. Click the Vouchers tab.

  2. Click List Vouchers.

  3. The vouchers will be listed in the voucher list window.

  4. Drag and drop the vouchers into the requested order.
