Overview of pricing for specific dates
When setting up rates in the SHR Booking Engine, you typically configure pricing based on days of the week. However, there may be times when you need to adjust prices for a specific room, rate, and date combination.
This flexibility allows you to:
Increase prices during high-demand periods, such as local events or holidays.
Lower prices during low-demand periods to attract more bookings.
Using price overrides ensures you can quickly respond to market conditions without needing to completely reconfigure your base rate setup.
β οΈImportant: If your rate prices are externally managed by a PMS or Channel Manager, then the below functionality will not work.
Update pricing for specific dates
Follow these steps to adjust pricing for a specific room, rate, and date:
Go into the Booking Engine Service.
Navigate to Inventory management.
Click Daily Room Inventory.
Click on the date you wish to change the pricing on.
Once you have selected the date you can then choose which rate you wish to change the pricing for, you can change the price on either a Per Room or Per Adult basis.
Click Save Changes
Once the pricing has been changed it will appear on the booking engine with the new price for the specific date.
