Preferred rate ranking
When a rate is marked as preferred the rate will rank higher on the booking engine. It is best practice to have your more popular rate marked as preferred, if multiple rates are marked as preferred they all will not rank as the highest rates. This is due to the feature smart rate ordering in the booking engine.
Make a preferred rate in the booking engine
Follow the steps below to make a rate preferred in the booking engine.
Click the Booking Engine tab.
On the left navigation panel hover over Rates and Packages.
Click Browse Rates.
Find the rate you want to make preferred and click on the star icon to the right of the rate.
Once a rate is marked as preferred the star will show as yellow so you can easily spot which rates are set to preferred rates.
