It might be the case you have set up an internal rate. An internal rate is a rate that has the pricing, restrictions and inventory controlled within the booking engine. An internal rate is created if you do not have an existing integration with a channel manager. If you have an integration with a channel manager and you would like to control the pricing, inventory and restrictions via your channel manager then you will need to convert your internal rate to an external rate, this will allow your channel manager to sync with the rate.
Convert your existing internal rate to an external rate
First, you must ensure the rate code and external rate code are the same. The next step is to convert the rate to externally managed.
Ensure your Rate Code and External Rate Codes are the same
Click Rates & Packages.
Click Browse Rates.
Click edit next to the rate you would like to update.
On the general tab, ensure your Rate Code and External Rate Code are the same.
Convert your rate to an external rate
Go back to the Browse Rates screen.
Click the gear icon next to the rate you are updating.
Click the Convert to External Rate button.
β οΈ Important: If you have any pricing set up on the rate, you will see a warning that pricing on this rate will be deleted when you proceed further. This is irreversible, so if you need to take note of the pricing be sure to do so before finishing this step.
