Add an occasion to a voucher

Voucher occasions explained

Voucher occasions allow customers to add an occasion to each voucher they purchase to help the hotel or property further personalize the guest experience.

When this option is enabled, hotel voucher customers will be able to select an occasion per voucher they purchase.


Add a voucher occasion

  1. Click Vouchers on the main navigation.

  2. Click Edit Site Profile

  3. Click Flags to open this tab.

  4. Click the box beside Ask user to select an occasion per voucher purchased. You will see a visible tick in the box on this menu entry to highlight that this has been selected.

  5. Click save changes.

Note: This is disabled by default for all sites so customers will not see any changes unless the hotel explicitly chose to activate this.


Personalize Vouchers Changes

  • The hotel customer will see a new dropdown per voucher in their shopping cart.

  • This will be located on the Personalize Vouchers screen.


Sold Vouchers Report

  • There is a checkbox called Occasion in the Voucher Information checkboxes within the report configuration panel.

  • This includes Occasion data in the report produced.

  • Tick the Occasion box under Sold Vouchers Report to enable this.

  • Enabling this checkbox will render a new column in the report, labelled Occasion.


Confirmation Email

  • The email sent out to the hotel and client, will now include the selected occasion type with the voucher or vouchers purchased.

Note: This information will be available to the hotel through the IBE Vouchers, in the Sold Voucher Report and Transaction Details screens.
