Voucher occasions explained
Voucher occasions allow customers to add an occasion to each voucher they purchase to help the hotel or property further personalize the guest experience.
When this option is enabled, hotel voucher customers will be able to select an occasion per voucher they purchase.
Add occasions to vouchers
To add the occasion options to the voucher purchase process follow the steps below to enable this feature:
Click Vouchers on the main navigation.
Click Edit Site Profile
Click the Flags tab
Click the box Ask User to Select an Occasion per Voucher Purchased.
Click save changes.
When a customer now purchases a voucher they will see a dropdown menu.
This dropdown menu is on the customize page.
Note: This is disabled by default for all sites so customers will not see any changes unless the hotel explicitly chose to activate this.
Occasion report for vouchers
The below outlines how to pull a voucher report to highlight occasions:
Click Vouchers along the top navigation.
On the left navigation, click Sold Vouchers Report.
From the dropdown menu called search by, select the applicable option:
Transaction date, when a voucher was purchased.
Redeemed date, when a voucher was redeemed.
Delivered date, when a voucher was delivered to a customer.
Chose a Start date from the dropdown menu.
Chose an End date from the dropdown menu.
Tick include Cancelled Vouchers if you would like to include cancelled vouchers in the report.
From the dropdown menu choose the Output Type.
HTML or CSV.
Click report option.
Tick the box Occasion
Click Run report.
The occasion reasons will list in the report.
Confirmation email
The email sent out to the hotel and client, will now include the selected occasion type with the voucher or vouchers purchased.
Personalised gift experience
If you would like to have a voucher to have a specific template such as a Wedding template, send an email to the support team [email protected]
When emailing the support team include the following in the support email.
The template option number.
Choose one template option.
The name of the template show read.
When the new template has been designed you can allocate this template design to a specific wedding voucher.
📌Note: It is not possible for the customer to select a specific template.
