Reasons to add privacy and cookie policies
Below will outline some of the reasons why a property should add a privacy and cookie policy to their booking engine:
To ensure compliance with data protection regulations and enhance transparency with your guests, you can add links or content to your privacy and cookie policies within the CRM.
A privacy policy is mandatory under many privacy laws.
Under GDPR, it's one of the most important documents your company has. It's the only way to demonstrate to your customers, and to the authorities, that you take data protection seriously.
You may have heard of the cookie law which is a European Union directive intended to protect consumer privacy online.
Under the cookie law, websites must:
Tell users if they are serving cookies.
Explain what information is gathered through those cookies and how that data is used.
Obtain user consent to the use of those cookies.
