Seasonal cancellation rules

Sometimes, your standard cancellation policy might not be suitable for every time of the year. With seasonal rules you can create exceptions for specific date ranges. For example Christmas, conferences or peak seasons.

This allows you to adjust your cancellation terms as needed.

Follow the steps below to set up seasonal rule.

  1. Click Booking Engine.

  2. On the left navigation hover over Site Configuration.

  3. Click Cancellation Policies.

  4. Click edit policy next to the policy you want to amend.

  5. Scroll to the seasonal rules section.

  6. Add a season:

    • Enter the date range that applies to your seasonal rule, then click Add Season.

  7. Define the seasonal rules:

    • Set how many days before arrival the rule applies and what the cutoff time is.

    • Choose whether cancellation is allowed.

    • If allowed, set the penalty type:

      • No penalty.

      • Value of first night (pre-discount).

      • Percentage of booking total.

      • Fixed amount.

  8. Tick auto-approval for each rule if you would like reservation to be cancelled without review.

  9. Set a default rule for the season in case no other rule applies.
