Utilise Newsletter Signups

Use the newsletter signup feature to gather your customers details and keep them up to date on your current special offers.

Enable the newsletter feature

To enable the newsletter feature email [email protected] and ask the team to enable the newsletter feature.


Create custom interests for your newsletter

To create new custom interests for your newsletter feature follow the steps below:

  1. Click the CRM tab.

  2. Click newsletter settings.

  3. You will see the list of default interests.

  4. Enter the custom interest in the box provided.

  5. Click add interest.

  6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 to enter more custom interests.

  7. Click save changes.


Export the newsletter sign ups

Follow the steps below and you will know how to export your customer emails.

⚠️Important: Once you click export CSV, the list of recipients will be permanently removed from our system. SHR do not hold the emails on file. It is your responsibility at property level to store and encrypt them so that your team can use them for marketing activities going forward.

  1. Click the CRM tab.

  2. Hover over newsletter recipients.

  3. Click export recipients CSV.

  4. Click the button that reads warning ! I accept that after exporting these records, they will be permanently removed.

  5. Click export CSV.

Note: You must export the list of signups and upload the list to your own newsletter or ezine platform.


Customer signup to newsletters on the booking engine

In the steps below this will show you where a customer can sign up to your newsletters in the booking process.

  1. Click the more button on the index page of the booking engine and you will see various options including newsletter signup.

  2. There is also an option for the customer to opt in to newsletter signup on the book page.

    1. A user needs to opt in and select the box under the header additional information.


Input a privacy policy for your newsletter signups

In the steps below you will see where to input a privacy policy so you are GDPR compliant:

  1. Click the CRM tab

  2. Hover over site configuration.

  3. Click data policy summary.

  4. Enter an appropriate privacy policy in the provided box named newsletter signup.

  5. Click save changes.

Important: Ensure you have entered a privacy policy associated with your newsletter to ensure you are GDPR compliant.


Newsletter signup link

In the steps below you will see where to copy the newsletter signup link:

  1. Click the CRM tab

  2. On the left navigation click website integration.

  3. This will open a new screen.

  4. A list of link will populate.

  5. Copy the link named newsletter signup links.
