Create custom rate incentives
A custom rate incentive highlights the best reasons on why to book that specific rate.
Follow the steps below on how to set up custom rate incentives.
Click the Booking Engine tab.
On the left hover over Rates & Packages.
Click Browse Rates.
Click edit on the rate you would like to update.
Click the General tab.
Scroll down to the bottom of this screen and you will see the section called custom rate sales messages.
Enter the title:
This should be compelling and unique. Free WIFI is a popular feature in a property so it may not be best served here. An example could be complimentary water.
Enter the description:
This maybe for example a brand of water you are using.
Enter a order number to priorities which incentive will show first.
Click + add row to add another incentive.
You can add up to five custom incentives.
If you have created custom incentives on another rate you can import them to this rate.
Select the rate from the drop down menu and press import.
You can overwrite the imported incentives that have populated.
Click save changes.
Custom rate incentives on the choose page
Below will outline how the custom incentives will appear on the choose page on the booking engine.
Custom rate incentives will appear underneath the rate title.
They will appear as a grey box underneath the rate title.
If a description hasn’t been provided for an incentive, the tooltip will instead display the incentive title when a customer hovers over the incentive.
