As a content manager in Booking Engine+, you are responsible for maintaining how your property's rooms and rates are presented in the booking engine. Your role covers managing room inventory, controlling rate distribution, and ensuring the booking engine content is accurate and up to date.

This guide introduces the key tasks you will carry out as a Booking Engine+ content manager.

Log in for the first time

  • Open Booking Engine+ using the login URL provided by your system administrator or SHR during onboarding.

  • Enter your username and password to access the system.

  • Contact your system administrator or SHR support at [email protected] if you do not have login credentials or need help accessing the system.

Manage rooms

  • Go to Booking Engine, hover over Manage Rooms, then click List Rooms to view and manage your property's room inventory.

  • Click edit next to a room to update its details and settings.

  • Review room listings regularly to ensure the correct room types are active and available in the booking engine.

Manage room and rate distribution

Room rate distribution controls which rate and room type combinations are available to guests when they search for availability.

  • From the List Rooms screen, click the rate distribution icon next to a room to view and manage which rates apply to it.

  • Update rate assignments as your property's pricing strategy or room inventory changes.

  • To add rooms to a rate directly, go to Booking Engine, then Rates and Packages, then Browse Rates, click edit on the relevant rate, and use the Rooms tab to assign room types.

Configure curated rates and booking engine content

Curated rates allow you to feature specific offers in priority positions within the guest booking journey.

  • Go to Property Description, then Branding, then the IBE Settings tab.

  • In the IBE Blocks area, select Curated Rate from the dropdown for the block positions where you want featured offers to appear.

  • Enter the relevant rate codes in the Curated Rate Codes fields to define which rates display in each priority position.

  • Click Save after making any changes.

Upload and manage branding assets

Keep your property's images and media up to date to ensure the booking engine reflects your current brand.

  • Go to Property Description, then Branding, then the File Upload tab.

  • Select the appropriate category from the dropdown: Property, Room type, Package, IBE, or Email.

  • Select the media type: Images, Flash video, Fonts, or JavaScript.

  • Click Choose File, select your file from your computer, then click Upload.
