As an administrator in Booking Engine+, you are responsible for configuring your property's online booking experience. From managing the booking journey layout to controlling which fields guests see at checkout, your role ensures the system is set up correctly and running smoothly.
This guide introduces the core tasks you will need to carry out as a Booking Engine+ administrator.
Log in for the first time
Open Booking Engine+ using the login URL provided by your system administrator or SHR during onboarding.
Enter your username and password to access the system.
Contact your system administrator or SHR support at [email protected] if you do not have login credentials or need help accessing the system.
Configure the booking engine layout
The itinerary configuration section lets you customise the booking screen layout and the search options available to guests.
Go to Property Description, then Branding, then the Itinerary Configuration tab.
Enable options for guests such as rate category filtering, calendar view, bed type selection, smoking preference, and discount code entry.
Enable corporate code, group code, or travel agent IATA code fields if relevant to your property's booking channels.
Enable or disable the add to cart modal to control the step between the availability page and the cart.
Click Save after making any changes.
Configure guest checkout fields
The field configuration section controls which guest details are collected during the booking checkout.
Go to Property Description, then Branding, then the Field Configuration tab.
Set each field to None (hidden from guests), Published (visible but optional), or Required (mandatory to complete the booking).
Available fields include salutation, address, contact details, company name, purpose of trip, frequent traveller programme, and marketing opt out.
Click Save after making any changes.
Manage IBE settings and site configuration
Go to Property Description, then Branding, then the IBE Settings tab to configure the core guest-facing booking experience (available as IBE Settings A and B).
Enable Enhanced Multiroom to streamline the booking flow for guests reserving more than one room.
Configure curated rate display via the IBE Blocks area to feature specific rates in priority positions within the booking journey.
Set a minimum room price via Site Configuration, then Edit Site Profile, to prevent rates below a defined threshold from being bookable on the engine.
Click Save after making any changes.
Upload branding assets
Use the file upload section to manage the images and media used across your booking engine.
Go to Property Description, then Branding, then the File Upload tab.
Select a category from the dropdown to assign the file: Property, Room type, Package, IBE, or Email.
Select the media type: Images, Flash video, Fonts, or JavaScript.
Click Choose File, select your file, then click Upload.
