Add an additional language to the booking engine

Click Site Configuration then click CRM Configuration.

The Preferred Languages Panel is on the top left.

1. It has two columns, the available languages on the left and the mapped languages on the right. 

Enable the desired languages from the list. 

To add an additional language, select it in the left-hand column and click add selected.

1. To do this you can click and drag any language to reorder the sequence in which they will appear available.

1. If you need to remove a language you previously added or just selected click the X beside that line item to remove a language.

Always click save changes to apply the update.

6. Reorder the languages.

7. Remove an unwanted language. 
 1. If you need to remove a language you previously added or just selected click the X beside that line item to remove a language.
8. Always click save changes to apply the update.

Add translations for booking engine content. 

When you apply new languages to your booking engine you need to ensure that you manually add translations to anywhere applicable: 

Core elements of the SHR booking engine framework are automatically translated when a new language is enabled. You will be required to translate all your own content such as room and rate information, T&amp;Cs, dynamic packaging items etc. into any additional languages required. 

Content that needs to be translated in the booking engine:

Dynamic Packaging / Upsell Text &amp; Descriptions

- Rate Title
- Rate Description
- Rate Terms and Conditions
- Room Title
- Room Description
- General Hotel Terms and Conditions
- Dynamic Packaging / Upsell Text &amp; Descriptions

Any content that isn't translated will pull from the default language, usually English.

Look out for the flag symbols within each category to denote where you need to add translations.

⚠️ Important: When you add a new language, contact <a href="mailto:customersupport@shrgroup.com" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">customersupport@shrgroup.com</a> to ensure the Customisation is added.

Languages the Booking Engine currently supports. 

By default, the Booking Engine is available in English but we also support additional languages.

To support international guests, you can activate multiple languages in your booking engine.
