To support international guests, you can activate multiple languages in your booking engine.

Add an additional language to the booking engine

The below will outline how to add additional languages to your booking engine:

  1. Click the CRM tab along the top navigation.

  2. Hover over Site Configuration.

  3. Click CRM Configuration.

    • The preferred languages panel is on the top left.

    • It has two columns, the available languages on the left and the mapped languages on the right.

  4. Click on the language or languages you would like to enable.

  5. Click add selected to activate the language.

    • To reorder the languages:

      1. Click and drag any language to reorder the sequence in which they will appear available.

    • To remove an unwanted language:

      1. Click the X on the language you would like to remove.

  6. Click save changes to apply the update.


Add translations for booking engine content

When you apply new languages to your booking engine you need to ensure that you manually add translations to any where applicable:

  • Core elements of the booking engine framework are automatically translated when a new language is enabled.

  • You will be required to translate all your own content such as rooms and rates information, terms and conditions, upsell items and so on into any additional languages required.

Content that needs to be translated in the booking engine

Below will list the areas you will need to translate when you add a new language to the booking engine:

  • Rate title.

  • Rate description.

  • Rate terms and conditions.

  • Room title.

  • Room description.

  • General hotel terms and conditions.

  • Upsells text and descriptions.

  • In any area that requires translation it will be denoted with a flag or the name of the language.

  • If you have any customisation that requires translation email [email protected]

Languages the booking engine currently supports

By default, the booking engine is available in English but we also support additional languages.

The following is a list of all the languages that the booking engine currently supports:

  • English

  • French

  • German

  • Italian

  • Spanish

  • Polish

  • Czech

  • Dutch

  • Portuguese

  • Chinese Simplified

  • Chinese Traditional

  • Romanian

  • Arabic

  • Thai

  • Japanese

  • Korean
