Purpose of stay explained
The purpose of stay facility is displayed on the book page of the booking process. It is not mandatory for the guest to choose an option.
It is under additional information on the book page.
Enable purpose of stay
If you would like this feature on your booking engine follow the steps below:
Click booking engine along the top navigation.
Hover over site configuration.
Click edit site profile.
Click the tab called flags.
Under hotel flags tick ask for purpose of stay.
Click save changes.
Update the options for purpose of stay
If you would like to change the list of purpose of stay options follow the steps below:
The list of current options include:
Business trip,
Concert or other event,
Conference delegate,
Leisure break,
Wedding guest,
Other.
To make changes click CRM along the top navigation.
On the left navigation hover over site configuration.
Click CRM localisation setup.
Click the tab stay purpose.
You can overwrite the current options.
Click create new to add a new option.
Click save changes.
π€ Tip: Do not include too many options as a guest may not select an option.
Report on purpose of stay
Follow the steps below to create a purpose of stay report:
Click insights along the top navigation.
Click build a report.
A room reservation report will show by default.
Enter the relevant date range for the report.
From the drop down menu called category 1, click purpose of stay.
Click run report, large green button to view the results.
