Navigate the edit site profile feature for your booking engine
Outlined below is the information regarding each tab that is available in the edit site profile. The edit site profile is where you can customise and include specific features in your booking engine.
General tab
Follow the steps below to navigate to the edit site profile and to learn what each section does in this tab.

Click the Booking Engine tab.
On the left navigation hover over Site Configuration.
Click Edit Site Profile.
Click the General tab.
General information:
This section displays key details about your property, such as your address, website URL, phone number, time zone, date format, star rating, and currency.
These details can't be edited by users, the support team will need to make updates.
Email notifications:
Add email recipients for reservation, modification, and cancellation notifications.
Enter two or more email addresses to ensure updates reach the right people.
Time restrictions:
Set expectations clearly by configuring the earliest and latest estimated time of arrival (ETA) shown in confirmation emails.
You can also define a booking cutoff time, which limits how late guests can book for a same-day check-in.
Number of rooms:
Add the total number of rooms available at your property.
This number is for internal use only, it won’t be shown to guests or appear in any public facing content.
Room booking limit:
Control group bookings by setting the maximum number of rooms a guest can reserve in a single booking.
Minimum room price:
Define the minimum price you’re willing to accept for any room at your property.
This ensures that direct room rates aren’t sold below this threshold. This is only applicable if you have rates and restrictions controlled via the booking engine.
Early check in or late check out:
If you wish to offer early check-in or late checkout, you can set maximum availability limits for each.
Cancellation voucher message:
Enter a URL to a voucher you would like to promote if a reservation is cancelled.
Click save changes.
Customer Info tab

Click the Booking Engine tab.
On the left navigation hover over Site Configuration.
Click Edit Site Profile.
Click the Customer Info tab.
Best rate guarantee:
This message is to show customers why booking direct will benefit them versus a third party website.
The best rate guarantee message is displayed as a widget.
It is presented on both the start and choose pages of the Booking Engine.
It is designed to never cover or interfere with the main booking content, even on smaller screens.
Terms and conditions:
This text box gives you the space to enter a properties general terms and conditions.
An example of this would be payment terms and conditions, pet policy or smoking policy.
A properties terms and conditions will automatically appear on the book page of the booking engine, as well as in the confirmation email your guests receive.
Specific rate terms and conditions can be displays on a specific rate. Specific rate terms and conditions can be inputted and updates in the specific rate.
Short portal description:
The short portal description shows up in the property information widget and is also used for your property's listing on partner portals or when partner selling is enabled.
It’s a great place to highlight what makes your property unique.
Personalized message:
Configure a custom message that guests will see on the booking confirmation page after completing their reservation.
Customer cancellation message:
Customize the cancellation experience by adding a message that guests will see after confirming a cancellation.
This message appears both on the cancellation page and in the cancellation confirmation email.
Click save changes.
Facilities and settings tabs

Click the Booking Engine tab.
On the left navigation hover over Site Configuration.
Click Edit Site Profile.
Click the facilities and settings tabs.
Facilities:
Here you can specify which facilities are available at your property.
You must select at least ten facilities to achieve the site score points.
Facilities are displayed in bullet point format when you click on the Property Information widget.
Settings:
There is no action required in this section.
Click save changes.
Flags tab

Click the Booking Engine tab.
On the left navigation hover over Site Configuration.
Click Edit Site Profile.
Click the Flags tab.
Credit cards:
Choose which credit cards your property accepts.
If no options are selected, the system will apply a default set.
🤓Tip: Only select cards that are supported by your payment gateway or the physical terminal at your property.
Hotel flags:
These flags control the behavior of your booking engine.
Hide terms and conditions by default:
Keep the terms and conditions collapsed until expanded by the guest.
How did you hear about us?:
Add a field to gather marketing insights.
Ask for purpose of stay:
Include a dropdown to understand the reason for travel.
Ask for voucher code (not checked or offline):
Adds a free-text box on the guest details page.
This lets shoppers enter a voucher number as a note to the property. It won’t be validated or redeemed online.
Ask for company name:
Collect the guest’s company name during booking.
Share bookings on social media:
Allows guests to share their reservation on social platforms directly from the confirmation screen.
Disable consumer reservation email:
Prevents the automatic reservation confirmation email from being sent to the guest.
Disable consumer cancellation email:
Stops the system from sending cancellation emails to guests.
Mask promo inputs:
Shows promo codes exactly as typed, instead of encrypting them.
Enable email address confirmation:
Requires guests to enter their email address twice to confirm accuracy on the final booking page.
Display voucher hint on the booking engine:
Show guidance near the voucher input field to help guests understand how to use it.
Display partner options inline:
Makes partner booking options visible directly within the booking engine.
Nor1 integration:
If applicable, enter your Nor1 property code here to enable integration features.
Click save changes.
Search tab

Click the Booking Engine tab.
On the left navigation hover over Site Configuration.
Click Edit Site Profile.
Click the Search tab.
Display PA where relevant:
This setting is no longer in use and can be ignored.
Display currency in the MDA (multi-day availability):
You can control what items are displayed in individual search result boxes.
Group package price boxes:
When this is turned on, hovering over a date within a multi-night package rate will display the full package price for that check-in date only, rather than breaking it down by night.
Round prices:
Round pricing to the nearest whole number to simplify the display for guests.
Enable tooltips:
When enabled, helpful pop-ups will appear as users hover over dates on the multi-day availability (MDA) screen, providing more context.
Disable drag and drop checkout:
Disallow the user to be able to change the check out day using a drag and drop feature.
If disabled they will have to update the calendar.
Price type (PR or PA) tooltip:
If enables this give the price of the room when hovered over in the per room or per adult format dependent on the pricing available via the rate.
Occupancy basis tooltip:
When enabled this shows the occupancy that can be selected at a minimum or maximum for a room.
Min LOS tooltip:
If a rate has a minimum length of stay then a tooltip will show with the details.
Package type tooltip:
If this tooltip is enabled it will show the package price of the rate if it is set up as a package.
Discount tooltip:
If there is a discount applied to a rate the tooltip will indicate this.
No checkin tooltip:
If there no checkin on a specific day a tooltip will show this information.
Expand date selector by default:
This is no longer applicable.
Result order:
If you would like to show your rooms first and then your rates select room then rate.
If you would like to show your rates first and then your room select rate then room.
This result has been decided by AI so the suggestion here is to search the results of the testing and the preferred view will automatically show.
Default adults:
Decide if you want the booking engine to show pricing for one adult or two adults.
This means when a customer enters dates the occupancy selector will have one or two adults automatically entered.
Show all occupancies means the booking engine will show an all occupancy button until the user enters a number of occupancies.
Tick the show button for all occupancy if enabling this.
Force occupancy popup:
This means a customer has to enter occupancy before rates can be viewed.
📌Note: The suggested default is two adults, this is similar to third party websites.
MDA window offset:
Choose where the multi-day availability (MDA) view begins:
Default is one day before the selected check-in date.
You can adjust this to start on the check-in date or up to two days before.
Rooms remaining:
Show the number of rooms left when inventory for a visible room type falls below the entered threshold.
Compass if enabled is not applicable.
Set the display order of rates and rooms by assigning weight to your preferred sorting criteria. The higher an item is on the list, the more influence it will have on the order guests see.
Limit rates:
Select the number of rates that will show on the booking engine.
Click save changes.
Images tab
Select one or more images of your property. Images are an important component of your property setup and can be used on your booking engine or in other portal searches. Use the best images you have of your property.
Outlined below are the steps to add a property image to the booking engine.
Click the Booking Engine tab.
On the left navigation hover over Site Configuration.
Click Edit Site Profile.
Click the Images tab.
Enter the name into the search bar to find the relevant images.
Tick the box next to the selected images.
Click add selected.
Click save changes.
