General Tab

In this video you will learn about the General Tab in the Edit Site Profile.

General Information

This section displays key details about your property, such as your address, website URL, phone number, time zone, date format, star rating, and currency.

⚠️Important: These details can't be edited directly by your team. If you need to make changes, reach out to our customer support team and we’ll be happy to help.

  1. Email Notifications: Keep your team in the loop by adding email recipients for reservation, modification, and cancellation notifications. You can enter two or more email addresses to ensure updates reach the right people.

  2. Time Restrictions: Set expectations clearly by configuring the earliest and latest estimated time of arrival (ETA) shown in confirmation emails.
You can also define a booking cutoff time, which limits how late guests can book for a same-day check-in.

  3. Number of Rooms: Add the total number of rooms available at your property. This number is for internal use only—it won’t be shown to guests or appear in any public-facing content.

  4. Room Booking Limit: Control group bookings by setting the maximum number of rooms a guest can reserve in a single booking.

  5. Prices: Define the minimum price you’re willing to accept for any room at your property. This ensures that direct room rates aren’t sold below this threshold.

🤓Tip: This setting doesn’t apply to linked or externally managed rates.

6. Early Check in / Check out: If you wish to offer early check-in or late checkout,

you can set maximum availability limits for each.

Customer Info Tab

In this video you will learn about the Customer Info Tab in the Edit Site Profile.

  1. Best Rate Guarantee - With our latest UI update, the Best Rate Guarantee message is now displayed as a handy information widget. You'll see it on both the search and choose pages of the Booking Engine. And don’t worry—it’s designed to never cover or interfere with the main booking content, even on smaller screens.

  2. Terms & Conditions - Your hotel’s Terms & Conditions will now automatically appear on the book page of the Booking Engine, as well as in the confirmation email your guests receive.

  3. Short Portal Description - The Short Portal Description shows up in the property information widget and is also used for your property's listing on partner portals or when partner selling is enabled. It’s a great place to highlight what makes your property unique!

  4. Personalized Message - You can configure a custom message that guests will see on the booking confirmation page after completing their reservation.

  5. Customer Cancellation Message - Customize the cancellation experience by adding a message that guests will see after confirming a cancellation. This message appears both on the Cancellation page and in the Cancellation confirmation email.

Facilities & Settings Tabs

In this video you will learn about the facilities and settings tab in the edit site profile.

  1. Facilities: Here you can specify which facilities are available at your property. You must select at least 10 facilities to achieve the Site Score here. Facilities are displayed in bullet point format when you click on the Property Information widget.

  2. Settings: SHR Group will action this section on your behalf.

Flags Tab

In this video you will learn about the flags tab in the edit site profile.

Customize your property settings to make sure your booking engine reflects your property by configuring the below settings.

  1. Credit Cards: Choose which credit cards your property accepts. If no options are selected, the system will apply a default set.

🤓Tip: Only select cards that are supported by your Payment Gateway or the physical terminal at your property.

2. Hotel Flags: These Flags control the behavior of your booking engine.

  • Hide Terms & Conditions by default – Keep the T&Cs collapsed until expanded by the guest.

  • How did you hear about us? – Add a field to gather marketing insights.

  • Purpose of Stay – Include a dropdown to understand the reason for travel.

  • Ask for Voucher #: Adds a free-text box on the guest details page. This lets shoppers enter a voucher number as a note to the property. It won’t be validated or redeemed online.

  • Ask for Company Name – Collect the guest’s company name during booking.

  • Share Bookings on Social Media – Allows guests to share their reservation on social platforms directly from the confirmation screen.

3. Email and Input Settings

  • Disable Consumer Reservation Email – Prevents the automatic reservation confirmation email from being sent to the guest.

  • Disable Consumer Cancellation Email – Stops the system from sending cancellation emails to guests.

  • Mask Promo Inputs – Shows promo codes exactly as typed, instead of encrypting them.

  • Enable Email Address Confirmation – Requires guests to enter their email address twice to confirm accuracy on the final booking page.

4. Display Options

  • Display Voucher Hint – Show guidance near the voucher input field to help guests understand how to use it.

  • Display Partner Options Inline – Makes partner booking options visible directly within the Booking Engine.

5. Integrations

  • Nor1 Integration – If applicable, enter your Nor1 Property Code here to enable integration features.

Search and Images Tab

In this video you will learn about the search and images tab in the edit site profile.

  1. General Customization: These options let you tailor how search results and availability are displayed in your booking engine.

  2. Tooltips & Visual Cues:

  • Enable Tooltips – When enabled, helpful pop-ups will appear as users hover over dates on the Multi-Day Availability (MDA) screen, providing more context.

  • Group Package Boxes – When this is turned on, hovering over a date within a multi-night package rate will display the full package price for that check-in date only, rather than breaking it down by night.

3. MDA Box Preferences: You can control what items are displayed in individual search result boxes.

  • Display 'PA' Where Relevant – This setting is no longer in use and can be ignored.

  • Round Prices – Round pricing to the nearest whole number to simplify the display for guests.

4. Tooltip Preferences: Control what items are displayed in the rollover tooltips.

  • Best practice: Enable all options to give users the clearest picture of availability.

  • Rooms Remaining – Show the number of rooms left when inventory for a visible room type falls below the entered threshold.

5. Search Preferences: Control how results are displayed, including how the results are organized and occupancy options.

  • MDA Offset – Choose where the Multi-Day Availability (MDA) view begins:

  1. Default is 1 day before the selected check-in date (to provide context).

  2. You can adjust this to start on the check-in date or up to 2 days before.

  • Smart Ordering – Set the display order of rates and rooms by assigning weight to your preferred sorting criteria. The higher an item is on the list, the more influence it will have on the order guests see.
