Tags and smart ordering
Smart ordering boosts the visibility of relevant rates to individual shoppers based on their browsing behavior.
Example:
If a user browses your spa page, and the spa tag is applied to a rate, that rate will appear higher in their search results within the booking engine.
This is due to smart ordering. Smart ordering is enabled by default but if you have over written the default order ensure matching tags are added to the over written list.
To check if matching tags is listed in your over written smart ordering list follow the steps below.
Click the Booking Engine tab.
On the left navigation panel hover over Site Configuration.
Click Edit Site Profile.
Select the Search tab.
If smart ordering have been reordered the list will appear on the right. This list should have matching tags included.
Click save changes.
Enable smart ordering with tags
To enable tags follow the steps below.
Click the CRM tab.
On the left navigation panel, click Generate Tracking Script.
Select the relevant tag for example, spa, then click the Build button.
Copy the tracking script and have your web developer place it on the matching page of your website for example your spa page.
When smart ordering is active, this tells the booking engine to prioritize matching tagged rates for users coming from that page.
