Set up linked rates on your booking engine
Linked rates are used in situations where you want the price of your rate to be up or down a set value or percentage from an existing parent rate. Any price updates to the parent rate will automatically update your new linked rate.
Follow the steps below to create a linked rate.
Click the Booking Engine tab.
On the left side navigation hover over Rates and Packages.
Click Browse Rates.
Click the + Create rate button.
Under the price management, macro type heading select Linked Rate from the drop down menu.
Click the Configure tab beside the rate.
You then have to configure the pricing for the linked rate to derive from the parent rate.
Type and direction:
You can choose to have a percentage or fixed amount and choose to have the price up (higher) or lower(cheaper) than the parent rate.
Amount: This is where you enter the figure you want to either add or deduct from the price.
Second Adjustment (Optional): This can be used to further add or reduce the price of a linked rate by a percentage or a fixed amount.
Rounding prices: You can select one of the following ways to round the pricing associated with your linked rate: nearest full unit, nearest 50 cent or no rounding.
Click save changes.
