Protected rates, hidden rates and member rates

This article will outline the difference between protected rates, hidden rates and member rates

Protected rate

Outlined below is information on a protected rate.

  • A protected rate is a rate that can be unlocked using a promo code or through a CRM user account.

  • To make a rate protected follow these steps:

    1. Click the Booking Engine tab.

    2. On the left navigation hover over Rates and Packages.

    3. Click Browse Rates.

    4. Click edit on the rate you would like to lock.

    5. Click the Advanced tab.

    6. Click the box called Protected rate.

    7. Click save changes.

Hidden rates

Outlined below is information on a hidden rate.

  • A hidden rate is a rate that is not visible on the choose page.

  • A hidden rate can be accessed through a deep link URL or through a rate group.

  • No promo codes or logins are required.

  • This kind of rate is ideal for sending out in an Ezine to your customers as they just need to click a link to access the rate.

  • To hide a rate from the choose screen follow these steps:

    1. Click the Booking Engine tab.

    2. On the left navigation hover over Rates and Packages.

    3. Click Browse Rates.

    4. Click edit on the rate you would like to lock.

    5. Click the Advanced tab.

    6. Under the header distribution untick the box public availability (MDA) page.

    7. Click save changes.

  • To copy the URL, go to the browse rates screen and click the green WEB button beside the rate in question.

  • This will open a new tab. You can copy the URL from the browsers address bar.

Member rates

Outlined below is information on a member rate.

  • Member rates are rates that is visible on the choose page but require a booker to register or login.

  • To create a member rate follow these steps:

    1. Click the Booking Engine tab.

    2. On the left navigation hover over Rates and Packages.

    3. Click Browse Rates.

    4. Click edit on the rate you would like to lock.

    5. Click the Advanced tab.

    6. Click the box called Member rate.

    7. Click save changes.
