Confirmation Messages are a great way to communicate with your guests after they complete a booking.

Set up Custom confirmation list messages

How to Create a Custom Message

  1. Go to the Booking Engine service in SHR BE.

  2. On the Left-Hand Navigation, hover over Rates & Packages.

  3. Select Confirmation Messages.

  4. This will bring you to the Confirmation Messages screen where you will see any existing messages.

  5. To create a new message, click on the Create Message button.

General Tab

  • Status: Use the dropdown to activate or suspend the message at any time.

  • Link URL (optional):
    Add a link to direct bookers to another page, such as your Spa page or Restaurant booking system.

    Note: If no URL is provided, no call-to-action (CTA) button will appear with the message.

  • Message Title:
    Enter a short, clear title for your message.

  • Message Description:
    This is the body of your message.

    Character limit: 250 characters.

  • Link Text:
    Create a call to action (e.g., "Click Here", "Book Now").

  • Image:
    Add a relevant image from your Media Centre to visually enhance your message.


Rates Tab


In the Rates tab, you control which rates display your confirmation message:

  1. Under Rate List Mapping, use the dropdown menu to select or deselect multiple rates easily.

  2. Choose which rates should show or hide the message.

Upsells Tab

In the Upsells tab, you can choose which upsell offers will display your confirmation message:

  1. Under Upsell List Mapping, select or deselect multiple upsells using the dropdown menu.

  2. For example, you might disable the confirmation message for four specific rates or upsells.

After setting everything up, click Save Changes.

Your confirmation message will now:

  • Appear on the Booking Confirmation Page, directly below the Hotel/Rate Terms and Privacy Policy.

  • Be included in the Confirmation Email sent to the guest.
