Walk in vouchers explained
A property may not have the option to sell vouchers to guests in person. Walk in vouchers allows the property to sell vouchers seamlessly by allowing them to take cash for payment and using their on-site credit card machine for payment. Using the walk-in voucher feature to sell vouchers allows the property to keep track of vouchers for accounting and reporting purposes.
Enable walk-in vouchers
Outlined below is how to enable walk in vouchers.
Walk-in vouchers are enabled by default for all properties who have the voucher module enabled.
How to use walk-in vouchers
Outlined below is how to use the walk-in voucher feature.
Click the Vouchers tab and click Buy walk-in voucher.
The voucher booking engine will open in a new tab.
Select the relevant voucher or select the monetary voucher and select the correct sale amount.
Add the voucher to the cart and click Continue.
On the customise page enter the relevant information and click Continue.
On the buy page enter the relevant information for example the name, email address of the customer.
The reception team will see a message: Please collect payment before you click to complete the transaction.
Click agree to terms and conditions and click complete purchase.
Report on walk in vouchers
To report on walk-in vouchers follow the steps below.
Click the Insights tab and click Build a Report.
Click Vouchers on the right navigation.
Click X to remove the room reservation report.
Select Delivery Method under the header Select Report Criteria.
Click Run Report.
The results will show walk_in_booking results.
Identify a walk in voucher
Outlined below is how to identify a walk in voucher.
Click the Vouchers tab.
Run a sold voucher report.
Under the header delivery a cash note will appear and this indicates a walk in voucher.
