What's new?
This monthโs release focuses on enhanced account management, payment card pre-arrival expiry warning, guest experience improvements, business intelligence, PMS integration, flash sales and tax and price transparency.
Enhanced account management
Outlined below are two account enhancements.
Independent approval workflows for corporate and membership accounts:
You'll soon have granular control over how different account types are approved. Set independent approval requirements for corporate negotiated-rate accounts versus transient membership sign-ups, matching your internal risk and operational processes.
Dedicated corporate and leisure registration links:
Pre-configured registration links will be available on your CRM public links page, allowing you to direct corporate bookers straight to the correct sign-up flow.
Risk mitigation
Outlined below is information regarding the updates to payment card pre-arrival expiry warning.
Payment card pre-arrival expiry warning:
You'll receive alerts when a guarantee card is set to expire before the guest's arrival date, helping you secure payment for no-shows and incidentals before it's too late.
Guest experience improvements
Outlined below is information regarding guest experience improvements.
New property information modal:
A redesigned property info modal gives guests quick access to key hotel information directly within the booking portal.
Occupancy limit warnings:
When guests attempt to exceed a room type's maximum occupancy, they'll see a helpful prompt encouraging them to add an additional room turning a potential abandonment into a multi-room booking.
Purpose of stay on confirmations emails
Optionally capture and display purpose of stay for business or leisure on admin confirmation emails and pass it to your PMS via free-text notes. Use this data for upselling corporate accounts and personalising in-stay experiences.
Flash sales
Allow multiple parallel flash sales for targeting different combinations of discounts over overlapping dates.
Tax and price transparency
City tax compliance for Edinburgh visitor levy and Scottish councils.
With Edinburgh's 5% visitor levy taking effect, we're ensuring you can display total prices inclusive of city tax from the very first page guests see. The solution supports length-of-stay caps for example 5% on first five nights only and is configurable per-council to accommodate Glasgow, Highland, Aberdeen, and Argyll and Bute schemes as they roll out.
Smarter room and rate descriptions
Writing effective room and rate descriptions is one of the most impactful things you can do to improve booking conversion. We've added AI-powered content quality analysis to the site setup health check to help you get this right.
Improved portal experience
We've redesigned the property popup on the portal. Rather than separate popups for
information, images, and rates, everything is now combined into a single, cleaner modal with three tabs:
Property information: Details about the property.
Images: Property image gallery.
Rates: Available rates for your selected dates.
Save and come back
Guests who save their booking but do not complete it will now receive an automated reminder email. This helps reduce abandoned bookings and brings guests back to complete their reservation.
Duplicate booking prevention
The system now checks for existing saved bookings before creating a new reminder. This prevents duplicate saved bookings for the same rate, check-in date, and guest.
Cancel to rebook
When a guest completes a cancel-to-rebook, they now see a clear confirmation on the final page: "Your reservation #[booking reference] has been successfully cancelled. Please find a summary of your new booking below."
This removes any ambiguity about whether the original reservation was successfully cancelled.
Safer email template editing
We've added an automatic security check to the email template editor. The editor now detects and removes potentially harmful code as you work, helping protect your content and your guests.
